Ways to Serve

Child Care

Children are a gift from the Lord. Parents are encouraged to have their children sit with them during the worship service as early as they're able. A nursery staffed with caring people is provided to those parents in need. Opportunities to serve in the nursery are available and always appreciated.

Hospitality

Mid Cities Presbyterian Church is known for its hospitality to people. Opportunities abound for Christian people to host visitors and others in their homes. Once a month the church gathers for a fellowship meal together, to which everyone is invited to participate in the fellowship and preparation of food.

Sunday School

During the school year, graded Sunday school classes are provided by caring and competent teachers. The church normally uses material published by Great Commission Publication, which is widely used among reformed and Presbyterian Churches.

Youth Camp

A summer youth camp is available each year for ages 11 to 18. The camp is a week long and is full of meaningful Bible preaching and teaching, excitement and sports, talent shows and creativity, and provides for relationships to blossum and deepen. For many youth in our churches the youth camp is the highlight of their year. The camp also provides an opportunity for adults to assist as counselors and work crew personnel. Information about these camps is published on the presbytery web site at www.opcsouthwest.org.

College and Career Retreat

A spring break retreat is held each year for college age and career adult singles. These are concentrated times of discovery and friendships, as the participants gather to learn and share together. Information about these retreats is published on the presbytery web site at www.opcsouthwest.org.
